Marley Hillwalkers Membership Application

We are a hillwalking club open to members from 18 years of age. The club year runs from 01 November to 31 October. The annual membership fee is currently €50.

Please Note that prior to applying for membership you must have completed up to two taster walks with the club.

Prior to going on a taster walk you must pay €10 which is non-refundable but will be deducted
from your 1st year membership fee if you decide to join the club.

As well as submitting this application, please lodge or transfer (EFT) your subscription €40 (€50 less €10 you have already paid) to the club bank account: Marley Hillwalking Club, Bank of Ireland, Rathfarnham Shopping Centre IBAN: IE03BOFI90020112520839 BIC: BOFIIE2D. Please include your name as the payer in the transaction details.

The Marley Hillwalkers request any member with a medical condition that may require specific emergency care to inform the leader at the start of a walk. Leaders will treat this information with discretion.

Section C: Marley Hillwalkers Privacy Statement & Communications

The Marley Hillwalkers club will take reasonable measures to ensure that data is collected, stored, processed, maintained, cleansed and retained in accordance with data protection legislation. We will take reasonable care to keep your information secure and to prevent any unauthorised access.

Your photograph may be taken whilst attending or participating in walks or activities connected with Marley Hillwalkers and used by the Club on the Club website or Facebook, or in Club publications.

The Marley Hillwalkers maintains a Mailing List for informing members. I would like to receive information via email from Marley Hillwalkers to keep up to date with news and information. *

Section D: Data Sharing with Mountaineering Ireland

The club shares personal information provided by members with Mountaineering Ireland. This enables each member to be registered as a member of Mountaineering Ireland and to get public liability insurance and limited personal accident cover. Members’ data is not shared with any other third parties. Mountaineering Ireland will use your personal data to enable access to an online portal for you (www.mountaineering.ie - Login). Members are advised to check and confirm their own details with MI via their 'Member Logon' webpage. If you have any questions about the continuing privacy of your personal data when it is shared with Mountaineering Ireland, please contact dataprotection@mountaineering.ie.
